Happy Easter!

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye; for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here; for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Matthew 28:5-6

We thank the Lord that He rose from that grave, so that we could know him as our Savior, and some day spend eternity in Heaven with Him! Today's church service was beautiful, the choir sang about Christ resurrection and God's grace, then pastor gave a message with a very clear explanation of the Gospel of Christ, and how a person can know they can go to heaven some day.

This year was very special because we were together and so happy to be well. The girls and Fred surprised me with my own Easter basket this year...it even had Fannie May candy inside,
yum, yum, yum!

Fred hides the girls Easter baskets each year. Sarah found both hers and Hannah's, although Dad had it hid very well, Sarah can find chocolate wherever it's hid!

Fred never gets to sleep in on holidays, the girls must have him there to share every exciting detail!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Sarah, Hannah and mostly Fred, expressed great displeasure when I suggested that maybe we did not need a hunt this year because the girls are older. So Saturday night, Hannah and Fred stuffed the eggs with Hershey kisses and pennies.

After dinner, Paul and Fred hid the eggs outside. Every year the girls love to search the most unlikely places for the colorful treats.

This year Fred's plow made a great hiding place for a few eggs.

The last eggs are usually fought over with a lot of fun and laughter. After all, it's the hunt, not really the candy that makes the game so exciting!

After counting eggs, Sarah was the big winner with the most plastic goodies. It was an extra sweet victory for her because she then announced that this was her last Easter egg hunt, next year, she's decided, she wants to hide eggs for younger cousins...maybe we will get Hadley and Logan in on the fun!
